NOV.20.24: Nothing will ever be harder than getting you rcollege to actually respond to an email about something important... I'm coping. It'll be ok. Rewatching Twin Peaks, spending more time birdwatching now that the leaves are starting to fall and it's easier to pick out birds. The weather is all over the place, but generally cooler (THANK GOD). I think everything is going to be OK and I'm doing OK. Hiking every Thursday, most Sundays too, it's a lot nicer now that I don't have to worry about ticks even though the mosquitos are still out. No bigfoot sightings while driving at night thus far... I think he finds the monocrop agriculture offputting. Sorry bud.
NOV.10.24: I got a copy of Stop Making Sense on VHS! Super psyched about it, spent the past couple of days just watching it on repeat. Also rediscovered a love for Arizona iced tea, as I've been trying to drink less soda (not that I drank a ton anyway, but I know the carbonation is pretty bad for my already not great teeth). As for site updates, I've been working on a fanlisting and I also added some more art to my gallery page. Exciting...
OCT.30.24: Added a new page about my cassette tape collection, AKA my pride and joy/the love my life. It can be accessed either through the museum or the directory. Also, happy Halloween! My favorite holiday, I'm super psyched. Current plan is to go to my buddy's house and watch some of my horror DVDs and pass out candy to trick or treaters.
OCT.10.24: Hey y'all, apologies for the radio silence over the past month. I've had a lot of stuff going on irl (moved far away for college, it didn't work out, moved back) and have mostly been spending my time doing offline hobbies. Got back into woodburning, started playing Left 4 Dead (exclusively singlerplayer) which is now one of my favorite games, fixed up a vcr, recording more mixtapes and making custom jcards for them in GIMP, walking my dog, watching WEIRD movies, hanging out with friends, and just generally getting into a healthier mindset. I'm now feeling pretty great, and looking at applying to a more local college for the spring semester. The weather is finally getting cooler. There is peace in my heart and optimism in my mind. Should hopefully add some updates to the site again soon. Take care and stay sharp.
SEPT.9.24: Last night I dreamt that there was an episode of the X-Files set at a furry convention and Mulder & Scully had to design fursonas. I wonder if this is a sign of something. Also I finally found a sweater I really like :-]
SEPT.8.24: Added a huge new section to the site. It can be found by clicking the link to the directory via Twin Peaks Horse. Wow! It's about alien encounter hoaxes and is essentially a blog I guess? Except this section is my actual blog snippets. The hoaxes section is mostly just an outlet for me to talk about a really specific interest.
SEPT.4.24: Been on the hunt for some decent sweaters at the local thrift store to limited success. I think most of theirs are still in storage since we get such a long summer. Not much time until I move to somewhere significantly rainier. I found a couple that I like though, and they look pretty warm.
AUG.29.24: Added knickknacks page to the site. Cassette collection has reached maximum capacity on its designated shelf. I need to pack them up soon, but I need to make one last mixtape first.
AUG.25.24: I recently finished watching Twin Peaks for the first time. I enjoyed it a lot and am very excited about watching Fire Walk With Me, but I need to make sure I'm in the right mindset. It really struck me in how humanistic of a show it is; there's so much of a love for the ups and downs of the human experience. I think it's something that has become very foundational to who I am through a lens of art. I bought the soundtrack on cassette tape and have been enjoying listening to it on my morning walks with my dog.
On a slightly more serious note, I am about to begin college. I'm nervous about it, partially because of my choice to attend a college on the other side of the country, but I think a change of scenery will do me some good. I will be studying forestry and forest ecosystem management, a field which is very important to me as a lifelong outdoorsman.
