hello and welcome to my site. my name's keegan but some people call me nuke as derived from my username. I use he/him/his, I'm a young adult, and I'm from the southern USA.

as is probably reflected in this site, I have a ton of interests. art, leatherworking, playing my guitar, punk rock and other music, skateboarding, weird movies and books, analog tech, history (esp. the cold war), amateur videography, hiking/fishing/camping, and many many more. I'm infrequently employed but always stay busy. I truly and earnestly love being a college dropout with an inflated sense of intellectualism.

my favorite film directors include david cronenberg, david lynch, george a. romero, john cassavetes, alex cox, wim wenders, frank henenlotter, and gregg araki. my favorite authors include philip k. dick, j.g. ballard, william s. burroughs, ursula k. le guin, kurt vonnegut, octavia butler, and patricia highsmith. music I like can be found on its own page. I would absolutely love to talk about any of these figures. unfortunately I don't use letterboxd or goodreads anymore so everything else will either have to be up to your imagination or you'll have to ask. I love a lot of movies and books though.

this site is handmade with amateurish love and in a janky live codepen editor, so please excuse any messes! this is the third iteration of the nuclearblues site (not including a prior site I hosted under another name). thanks for hanging out and enjoy your stay!

February 6th 2025 - added my video rental page and then proceeded to... you guessed it. forget to update it with a monthly movie recommendation ever. it'll always be flatliners now which is not a good movie. ah well.
January 13th 2025 - added a shrine for the band talking heads and then did not finish it. whoops. VAMP scale page was around this time as well I believe, but I'm writing this in retrospective.
October 30th 2024 - added cassette tapes page, didn't have photos at that point because I was in oklahoma city. my collection now contains way more mixtapes, about one for every 1-2 months of the past year, but as is a running theme I am bad about updating pages once I add them.
September 8th 2024 - added alien hoaxes section. still my favorite part of the site. needs more entries at some point.
August 29th 2024 - added my museum/knicknacks page. it's no longer linked on the home page because I broke it but I'll fix it one of these days.
August 28th 2024 - nuclearblues 2.0 became live. this is the version anyone familiar will remember. had the really cool tv channel navigations, which were really prone to breaking but I'm still proud of them. it's archived in a codepen here.
February 2024 - site established. this iteration of the site had very little on it and I can almost guarentee that none of you have seen it. pretty much just existed in name only

Art Feature

January 2026, gouache on watercolor paper. shot from the music video for R.E.M.'s Losing my Religion. it's a very short shot so it may be difficult to see. very good video though. I'm quite proud of this piece.
